Using a microlearning approach to break down the process, video demonstrations housed in the Brightspace LMS provided both the detail of each clinical interaction as well as a broader overview of the importance of the Healthy Start program.

E-Learning CourseThis flu e-learning course was developed to help medical staff address common misconceptions about the season flu and flu vaccines when meeting with patients. Combining vivid illustration with clear responses gave medical staff the tools needed to confidently respond when patients have questions about the flu during their scheduled wellness visits.

Handbook for VolunteersA mentor handbook was created to support volunteers in their capacity as a mentor for refugees. This handbook provided mentees with information on how to help refugees navigate key aspects of life in their new country, such as how to access and navigate core services, understand potential differences in social norms, and tips on being a source of encouragement for newcomers in their journey towards self-sufficiency.

E-Learning CourseAn asynchronous e-learning course built in Articulate 360 was designed to meet the needs of Case Managers working in various locations across the European Union. The course was divided into seven interactive modules, covering key topics related to Case Management for Refugee Service Providers. The course was housed in the Kaya LMS that includes Knowledge Checks and a comprehensive quiz upon completion.

Cultural Orientation
Lesson PlansA compilation of supplemental lesson plans on eight key topics was developed as a supplement to the Cultural Orientation curriculum for newcomers. Each lesson plan focuses on a topic that includes learning objectives, key messages and activities for better learning retention. The lesson plans aree a suggested guide and can be modified to suit the needs of different learners and the context in which Cultural Orientation is being provided.

Job AidsTo promote continuity of care and coordination of efforts, a set of job aids for chronic disease management was created to aid medical staff working with patients in the clinic. Playbooks include goals of care and risk factors as well as comprehensive treatment plans, admission and discharge criteria, tenets of care, and common medications.

In an effort to streamline workflows and improve internal communications among team, workflows and guidelines were established through this reference guide.

E-Learning Course and Job AidAimed at reducing loneliness among senior patients, the Togetherness Program was established to address feelings of isolation. This e-learning course trained volunteers to build personal connections with patients through active listening skills, expressing empathy, and connecting them to community-based social programs.
